
Aethelred II of Northumbria (800-860) was King of Northumbria from 841 to 844, succeeding Eanred of Northumbria and preceding Raedwulf of Northumbria.
Biography[]
Aethelred was born in 800, the son of King Eanred of Northumbria. He succeeded his father on his abdication in 841, only to be slain in battle against Vikings in 844.
