Aetes, son of Pheronactus (426 BC-) was a Syracusan Greek sailor who served in the garrison fleet of Motya (Marsala) during the 4th century BC. In 389 BC, he and several other local sailors helped to defend Motya from an attacking Sicilian and African mercenary army at the Battle of Ponte.
