Aelfwald of Chippenham (1028-1066) was an Anglo-Saxon general in the service of Edgar the Aetheling during the Norman conquest of England. In 1066, he raised a fyrd at Chippenham to crush Ricsige's peasant uprising, and he succeeded in doing so. However, he was slain in battle with the Normans at the Second Battle of Wilton that same year.
