Biography[]

Adhip Kotak was born in Rajkot, Gujarat, India on 23 December 1968, and he studied engineering in the United Kingdom before deciding to settle in England on a permanent basis. Kotak founded his own engineering firm in Bromland, Lincolnshire, where he settled with his parents, wife, and children in 2002. Kotak became a staunch supporter of New Labour and joined the Labour Party, becoming a member of the Bromland Labour Committee in 2008. Kotak's centrist views led to him being placed towards the end of the Labour electoral list when he ran for the Bromland Town Council in 2013; however, he was among the ten Labour candidates elected to the town council on 7 April 2013. He was re-elected several times, but he finally lost re-election to UKIP candidate Bennie Foster in 2017.
