
Aden Madobe (15 April 1956-) was President of Somalia from 29 December 2008 to 31 January 2009, succeeding Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed and preceding Sharif Sheikh Ahmed.
Biography[]
Aden Madobe was born in Hudur, Somalia in 1956, and he served in the Rahanweyn Resistance Army during the Somali Civil War before becoming Justice Minister of the Transitional Federal Government in 2005. He served as Speaker of Parliament from 2007 to 2010, also serving as acting President from 2008 to 2009. From 2014 to 2015, he also served as Minister of Commerce and Industry.
