Adelgardo Marenco (1875 - 1955) was an Italian construction worker who lived on the Sicilian island of Stromboli during the 1940s. He worked in Brooklyn, New York City for a period, living with his son; however, he returned to Stromboli in 1948, and he harbored a desire to go back over to his son in America. He died in 1955 of lung cancer, never having returned to America.
