Adelasia of Torres (1207-1259) was the Queen of Sardinia with Enzo of Sardinia.
Biography[]
Adelasia of Torres was born in 1207, the eldest child of Judge Marianus II of Logudoro and Agnes of Massa, daughter of William I of Cagliari. She married Ubaldo of Gallura in 1219, bringing two parts of the island of Sardinia together under one ruler. In 1236, she succeeded to Logudoro after the death of her brother Barisone III of Logudoro, and she remarried to Enzo of Sardinia, the illegitimate son of Frederick II of Germany. Her husband inherited her half of Sardinia as jure uxoris king, bringing the Hohenstaufen dynasty to power, and she died in 1259 without an heir.
