Adamson Tannehill (23 May 1750 – 23 December 1820) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-PA 14) from 1813 to 1815, preceding John Woods.
Biography[]
Adamson Tannehill was born in Frederick County, Maryland in 1750, and he served in the American Revolutionary War before settling in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania after the war. He served as fire company president, a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Pennsylvania's Pittsburgh branch, a Major-General of volunteers during the War of 1812, and a member of the US House of Representatives from 1813 to 1815. He died in 1820.
