Adalmode of Al Mafraq (born 1171) was the countess of Al Mafraq with Count Geraud of Al Mafraq.
Biography[]
Adalmode was born in 1171 to a family of lowborn French Catholics. Adalmode married Count Geraud of Al Mafraq, a nobleman of the Kingdom of Jerusalem, in late 1190 and became a member of the Jerusalemite nobility as the Countess of Al Mafraq. On 26 February 1191, her husband died after a period of illness, and on 12 March 1191 King Guy de Lusignan ordered her to take the vows. Adalmode lived out her days in a monastery as a nun afterwards.
