The Action off Salt Lagoon was a naval battle fought between the pirate captain Edward Kenway and the British Royal Navy off Salt Lagoon in the Bahamas.
While on the way to rescue Blackbeard from being overwhelmed by Royal Navy warships, Captain Kenway and his ship, the Jackdaw, came across the British frigates HMS Restoration and HMS Royal James off Salt Lagoon. Kenway decided to engage these ships to remove their threat to the Queen Anne's Revenge should she attempt to return to Salt Lagoon from the fighting, first immobilizing, boarding, capturing, looting, and scuttling the Restoration and then doing the same to the Royal James.
