Abyada of Himyar (598-635) was a Kindite Arab tribal leader and the self-proclaimed "King of Himyar" during the 7th century AD. He conquered Sanaa from its small garrison under Asim ibn Haris in mid-635, and he briefly restored the Jewish kingdom of Himyar before Ali and his army stormed the city. Abyada was killed in the ensuing battle.
