Abu Ihad (died 2019) was a Palestinian Hamas member and the personal secretary of Hamas' leader from 2012 to 2019. Abu Ihad became an Israeli informant, supplying Shin Bet with the information they used for a failed 2014 assassination attempt on Hani al-Jabari that left Jabari's family dead. In 2019, he helped Mista'arvim operatives infiltrate Gaza, hoping to bring down the paranoid al-Jabari and cover his tracks. His duplicity was discovered when an untraceable SIM card found in the phone of the dead Jihad Hamdan was traced back to Abu Ihad, who was kidnapped from the Sheikh's office by al-Jabari and his Nukhba Force commandos. Abu Ihad was interrogated into revealing that the Israeli operatives were sheltering at his house, as well as his role in the deaths of Jabari's family members. Jabari told Abu Ihad that his family would suffer the same fate, and he then executed him with a handgun.
