Abu Ali was a Lebanese Sunni militia commander from the Bab al-Tabbaneh neighborhood of Tripoli, Lebanon. He served under Saad al-Masri during the clashes with the Alawites of Jabal Mohsen in 2014; he claimed that Rifaat Eid was the only reason that the Sunnis and Alawites were fighting.
