Absalom Tatom (1742-20 December 1802) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-NC 4) from 1795 to 1796, succeeding Alexander Mebane and preceding William Francis Strudwick.

Biography[]

Absalom Tatom was born in North Carolina in 1742, and he served as a militia captain during the American Revolutionary War. After the war, he served as a surveyor, and he went on to attend the state's 1788 constitutional convention, to serve in the US House of Representatives from 1795 to 1796, and in the House of Commons from 1797 to 1802.
