Abruzzo

Abruzzo is a region of southern Italy, bordering Marche to the north, Lazio to the west, and Molise to the south. With a capital of L'Aquila, Abruzzo is divided between a mountainous region to the west and green fields to the east, bordering the Adriatic Sea to the east. Abruzzo has major cities at L'Aquila, Pescara, Teramo, Chieti, Avezzano, Vasto, Lanciano, and Sulmona, and it had a population of 1,307,919 people in 2012.
