Abraham Vanderveer (February 1781-21 July 1839) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-NY 2) from 4 March 1837 to 3 March 1839, succeeding Samuel Barton and preceding James De La Montanya.
Biography[]
Abraham Vanderveer was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1781, and he served as county clerk of Kings County from 1816 to 1821 and 1822 to 1837 before serving as treasurer of the Brooklyn Savings Bank and in the US House of Representatives from 1837 to 1839. He died shortly after leaving office.
