Abraham Herr Smith (7 March 1815 – 16 February 1894) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-PA 9) from 4 March 1873 to 3 March 1885, succeeding Oliver James Dickey and preceding John Andrew Hiestand.
Biography[]
Abraham Herr Smith was born in Millersville, Pennsylvania on 7 March 1815, and he became a lawyer in Lancaster in 1842. He served as a Whig state representative from 1843 to 1844, in the State Senate from 1845 to 1848, and in the US House of Representatives from 1873 to 1885. He died in 1894.
