
Abe Feldman (27 October 1912-June 1980) was a Jewish-American heavyweight boxer during the 1930s.
Biography[]
Abe Feldman was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1912, and he moved to Schenectady, New York at the age of six. He became an amateur boxer in high school and decided to go to New York City to go pro after his graduation, beginning his career as a light-heavyweight in the early 1930s. In 1933, his fight with James J. Braddock in Mount Vernon, New York ended in "no contest" after Braddock broke his right hand, and he defeated the great John Henry Lewis in July 1935. At the end of his career in 1939, he had 35 wins, 14 losses, and 5 draws. He died in 1980.
