Abdurrahman Gazi (died 1329) was a general of the Turkic Kayi tribe and the Ottoman Empire.
Biography[]
Abdurrahman Gazi was born at the end of the 12th century in Central Asia to the Turkic Kayi tribe, and he was trained as an alp before becoming the chief of Suleyman Shah's bodyguards. He continued in this task under Ertugrul, Osman, and Orhan Bey, taking part in border warfare against the Byzantines until the Siege of Bursa. In 1328, he captured Aydos Castle, and he died a year later.
