Biography[]
Abdullah Zekri rose to the rank of General in the Libyan Secret Service of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya under Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, and he was involved in Libya's connections to terrorism. During the late 1970s and into the 1980s, he had dealings with Carlos the Jackal, and he was Gaddafi's contact with Carlos' organization. He gave him $200,000 as a start for Libya's funding of his group to persuade him to assist Gaddafi in the planned assassination of President Anwar Sadat of Egypt, and Zekri wound up giving Carlos $2,000,000 of Libya's money to fund his terrorist operations in Western Europe.
