Abdullah Mehdar

Abdullah al-Mehdarhad (died 19 January 2010) was a commander of Al-Qaeda's Arabian Peninsula set during the Sa'dah War. He was killed by the Yemeni Army.

Biography[]

Al-Mehdarhad was the leader of an Al-Qaeda cell in Yemen, loyal to Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP). In 2010, the Yemeni Army launched Operation Blow to the Head, a counterattack against Al-Qaeda and the Houthis, and Mehdar's house was destroyed in the heavy fighting. Mehdar himself was killed in the fighting.
