Abdulgani Salapuddin (1952-) was a member of the Philippine House of Representatives from Basilan from 30 June 1998 to 30 June 2007, succeeding Candu Muarip and preceding Wahab Akbar.
Biography[]
Abdulgani Salapuddin was born in Tuburan, Basilan, Philippines in 1952, and he was a member of the MNLF for 14 years. He left his MNLF command in 1983 to run for office, and he served as Governor of Basilan from 1988 to 1998 and in the House of Representatives from 1998 to 2007; he remained an MNL chairman in Basilan. In 2007, he was allegedly responsible for the 2007 Batasang Pambansa bombing, which killed his successor in the House, Wahab Akbar.
