
Abdul Munim Wassel (died 17 May 2002) was a Brigadier-General of the Egyptian Army who commanded the Egyptian 3rd Army.
Biography[]
Abdul Munim Wassel was the general in command of the Egyptian 3rd Army during the Yom Kippur War. Wassel took part in Operation Badr, the assault on Israel's positions in the Sinai Peninsula, which was occupied by Israel following the Six-Day War. He died in May 2002 of natural causes.
