Abdul Meniem Al-Toras was Commander of the Egyptian Air Defense Command from 14 August 2012 to 17 December 2016, succeeding Abd El Aziz Seif-Eldeen and preceding Aly Fahmy Mohammed Aly Fahmi. He served in the Yom Kippur War before rising through the ranks and being appointed to the SCAF military junta of Egypt in 2012.
