Abdallah al-Mubtasim

Abdallah al-Mubtasim was an Ayyubid Egyptian warrior who served under Saladin during the late 12th century. He was nickanmed Mubtasim ("the Smiling One"), while his comrades Issa Alauwam were "The Strict One" and Hossam Eddin "The Bold One". al-Mubtasim fought in several of Saladin's battles against King Richard the Lionheart during the 1180s and 1190s, including at the Siege of Acre and the Battle of Arsuf.
