Abd al-Aziz Awda (20 December 1950-) was a Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader.
Biography[]
Abd al-Aziz Awda was born in Jabaliyah, Gaza Strip, Palestine on 20 December 1950, and he worked as a university lecturer and as an imam at a mosque in Gaza. He later became among the founding leaders and the spiritual head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad organization, being designated as a terrorist by the United States on 23 January 1995.
