
Abani Pathare (1682-1744) was a general of the Maratha Confederacy.
Biography[]
Abani Pathare was a member of the Hindu brahmin caste from Neroon Kot, Sindh, in the Maratha Confederacy (present-day Pakistan). Pathare was employed as a general of the Maratha during the 1738 campaign against Persia and he captured the city of Zahedan in Baluchistan in 1739. He died at the age of 62 in 1744 of fever.
