Chief Abaga of Rayy (born 1234) was a noble of the Ilkhanate.
Biography[]
Abaga was born in 1234, and he was the eldest son of Hulegu Khan. He was a Nestorian Christian from the Borjigin Mongols, but in August 1260 he converted to Eastern Orthodoxy when his father converted at the behest of Bishop Komitas of Prusa.
