Aaron Vanderpoel (5 February 1799-18 July 1870) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-NY 8) from 4 March 1833 to 3 March 1837 (preceding Robert McClellan) and from 4 March 1839 to 3 March 1841 (interrupting McClellan's terms).
Biography[]
Aaron Vanderpoel was born in Kinderhook, New York in 1799, and he was close friends with Martin Van Buren. He became a lawyer in 1820 and served in the State Assembly from 1826 to 1830 and in the US House of Representatives from 1833 to 1837 and from 1839 to 1841, and he died in 1870.
