The 8th South Carolina Infantry Regiment was a Confederate States Army regiment which was active from March 1861 to 1865 during the American Civil War. It was organized at Marion and fought in every major battle in Virginia from the First Battle of Bull Run to the Siege of Petersburg, as well as fighting at the Battle of Chickamauga and ending the war in defeat at the Battle of Bentonville on 19 March 1865. On 26 April, the regiment surrendered with the rest of the Army of Tennessee.
