The 71st Panzer Division was a German armored division that was activated on 24 September 1939 during World War II. The 8,100-strong division consisted of the 100th Armored Brigade and the 177th and 178th Motorized Brigades, and the division was led by Carl Casper. The division was deployed to Donaueschingen, Baden-Wurttemberg during the Phony War.
