The 6th Separate Guards Cossack Motor Rifle Brigade was a brigade of the LPR people's militia and the Russian Army that was formed in 2014. Originally the LPR's "1st Cossack Regiment," the unit fought at Debaltseve during the Donbas War. 240 members of the regiment were killed at the 2022 Battle of Lysychansk during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and the regiment was transformed into a brigade in 2023 and was attached to the 3rd Guards Combined Arms Army, the former LPR 2nd Army Corps.
