The 6th North Carolina Infantry Regiment was a North Carolina regiment of the Confederate States Army which was active from May 1861 to April 1865 during the American Civil War. Raised in Mecklenburg, Orange, Burke, Catawba, McDowell, Mitchell, Yancey, Alamance, Rowan, Wake, Caswell, and Chatham counties, the regiment was attached to the Army of Northern Virginia from the Battle of Seven Pines to Appomattox, while also fighting in the Valley Campaigns of 1864.
