The 69th (South Lincolnshire) Regiment of Foot was a British Army infantry regiment from Lincolnshire, England which was active from 10 December 1756 to 1 July 1881. The regiment was raised as part of the Army's enlargement at the start of the Seven Years' War, and it fought in the Caribbean during that war. During the Napoleonic Wars, the 69th participated in the expedition to Saint-Domingue during the Haitian Revolution, another battalion served in India and Indonesia, and the 2nd Battalion fought at the Battle of Quatre Bras and the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. The regiment was deployed to North America starting in the 1830s, and, in 1881, the regiment was merged into the Welch Regiment.
