68th Street-Hunter College is a local station on the IRT Lexington Avenue Line of the New York City Subway, located at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and 68th Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The station opened on 17 July 1918, and, by 1981, it was listed as among the most deteriorated subway stations in the railway system.
