The 5th Texas Cavalry Regiment was a Texan cavalry regiment of the Confederate States Army that was active from August 1861 to June 1865 during the American Civil War. Organized in San Antonio, the regiment served in the New Mexico campaign, in Texas, and in Louisiana.
