The 5th Louisiana Infantry Regiment was an infantry regiment of the Confederate States Army that was active from 1861 to 1865 during the American Civil War. Raised in New Orleans and in St. Bernard, Bienville, De Soto, Lafourche, and Ouachita parishes, the regiment fought in the East from the Battle of Yorktown to the Appomattox campaign.
