The 4 January 2015 Mogadishu bombing was a terror attack carried out by al-Shabaab against a military convoy in the capital of Mogadishu, Somalia. 4 people were killed.

Al-Shabaab targeted a group of US-trained Alpha Group intelligence forces of Somalia riding in a convoy near the Mogadishu International Airport, and a suicide car bomber detonated his explosives near the convoy. 4 people were killed, and Sheikh Abdul Aziz Abu Musab confirmed that al-Shabaab was behind the attack - which occurred shortly after the death of Abdishakur.
