The 3rd Pennsylvania Reserve Regiment, also known as the 32nd Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment, was a Union Army regiment from Pennsylvania which was active from 20 May 1861 to 17 June 1864 during the American Civil War. It was organized in Philadelphia, and it took part in the defense of Washington DC before being attached to the Army of the Potomac and seeing its first action during the Peninsula Campaign. After the Battle of Fredericksburg, the 3rd Pennsylvania returned to defending the capital, and it later returned to Virginia for the Valley Campaigns of 1864 before being mustered out in June 1864.
