The 3rd Separate Assault Brigade is a brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces that was created on 1 November 2022 from members of Azov Battalion special forces. In Kyiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv, Azov veterans formed new units following the defeat of their serving comrades at the Siege of Mariupol, and the units were merged into a highly mobile, well-equipped, and extensively trained brigade in November 2022. The brigade participated in the liberation of Kherson, the Battle of Bakhmut, the Battle of Avdiivka, and the 2024 Kharkiv offensive, with Azov founder Andriy Biletsky as their commander.
