
The 3 May 2017 Kabul bombing occurred on 3 May 2017 when an Islamic State suicide bomber detonated an explosives-ridden car as a convoy of NATO APCs passed the United States embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan. The suicide bombing occurred during rush hour, and 8 civilians were killed and 25 were wounded; three US Army troops were among the wounded, although their vehicles managed to make it back to base.
