The 37th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade is a Russian Army mechanized infantry brigade which was formed in 2009 and headquartered at Kyakhta in Buryatia. The brigade originated as the 5th Guards Tank Division, and, by 2013, it included 200 tracked vehicles and over 100 wheeled vehicles. Elements of the brigade fought in the Donbas War, including at the 2015 Battle of Debaltseve. During the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the brigade lost 50% of its personnel during fighting in the Makariv area amid the Battle of Kyiv, and, on 25 March 2022, a mutinous soldier struck and wounded the brigade's commander, Yuri Medvedev, with a vehicle.
