The 2nd Kentucky Infantry Regiment was a Confederate States Army infantry regiment which was active from August 1861 to 26 April 1865 during the American Civil War. The regiment was rasied from the men of Hickman, Fayette, Bullitt, Jefferson, Graves, Franklin, Harrison, Scott, Owen, Bourbon, and Anderson Counties, and it was attached to Kentucky's "Orphan Brigade". The original regiment was captured by the Union at the 1862 Battle of Fort Donelson, and the reconstituted regiment saw action at the Battle of Shiloh, suffered 52% losses at the Battle of Chickamauga, and fought in the Atlanta Campaign and the Carolinas campaign before surrendering on 26 April 1865.
