The 2nd Georgia Infantry Regiment was a Georgian infantry regiment of the Confederate States Army that was active from April 1861 to April 1865 during the American Civil War. Raised in Banks, Jackson, Muscogee, Burke, Bibb, Marion, and Stewart counties, the regiment fought with the Army of Northern Virginia from the Seven Days Battles to the Appomattox campaign, with the exception of the Siege of Suffolk, Battle of Chickamauga, and Knoxville campaign.
