In June 1944, the front spearheaded the offensive into Belarus before pushing into Latvia, Estonia, East Prussia, and Germany, ending the war after the Battle of Berlin closed in May 1945. On 10 June 1945, the front was disbanded and turned into the Soviet occupation forces in Poland.
