A 2B14 in use by the Syrian Arab Army
The 2B14 Podnos is a Soviet 82mm mortar that was designed in 1983 and introduced to service in the Soviet Army during the 1980s. The 2B14 was exported to several Eastern Bloc allies of the USSR during the Cold War, and Soviet allies such as Ba'athist Iraq and Syria were given the mortars for use in their armies.
