The 26th Texas Cavalry Regiment was a Texan cavalry regiment of the Confederate States Army that was active from August 1861 to June 1865 during the American Civil War. Raised in Huntsville, Houston, Lockhart, Galveston, Centerville, and Hempstead, and Leon and Walker counties, the regiment served in Louisiana and guarded Houston at the end of the war.
