
The 24th Texas Cavalry Regiment was a Texan cavalry regiment of the Confederate States Army that was active from 1862 to 1865 during the American Civil War. Raised in Tyler, Montgomery, Comanche, Washington, Jasper, Fort Bend, San Saba, Lavaca, and DeWitt counties, the regiment consolidated with the 25th Texas Cavalry Regiment and served with the Army of Tennessee. The regiments were detached in 1864 to serve in the Atlanta campaign, Franklin-Nashville campaign, and the Carolinas campaign.
