The 23rd Texas Cavalry Regiment was a Texan cavalry regiment of the Confederate States Army that was active from the spring of 1862 to June 1865 during the American Civil War. Raised in Centerville, Denton, Cooper, Palestine, and Clarksville, and Bowie and Hopkins counties, the regiment served in Louisiana during the war.
