The game took place on a clear day, and the two teams shook hands before the match. The two teams failed to get the ball into the goal before halftime, with most of the shots either missing or falling out of the field. The Chechen team failed to kick the ball into the Rovers' goal despite having the ball in their hands for much of the early game, and when halftime was called, the game was still tied 0-0. The stalemate was broken when Manka scored a goal for the Rovers, kicking the ball into the goal above the head of Gorodov. Rooney scored another goal for the Rovers, with the goalie diving to the left to push the ball away from a previous kick. Rooney scored yet another goal, and the Rovers won 3-0.
